Happy Sunday!

I've been doing a LOT of reflecting this week.

I mentioned in the last email that for the last couple of years I've almost entirely stopped creating.

And that's an issue. I think it's a bigger issue than the economy, AI or whatever is going on with the world of politics at any given moment.

Not just for my business but also for my soul. I'm a creator at heart. When I watched this video it really hit me that I haven't been creating for far too long. I haven't felt the pull and the joy of watching something come to life.

I'm a BIG believer in my ability to sell. I've been doing it since 2002.

2002 was the first year I made a sale online. Yesterday was the last.

​That's 24 years of PROOF.

Why do I still doubt myself? Human nature I suppose.

From that time to now I've made sales online of soap, virtual assistant services, ebooks, courses, coaching, lipstick, gardening systems, memberships, website design, digital downloads, masterminds and more.

With that much proof behind me that I can sell stuff I STILL started to doubt myself.

I'm sharing this with you because business isn't just a numbers game, it's a MIND game, too. We know this but how often do we spend time protecting our minds and our mental health?

I'm guilty as anyone of this.

Here's a bit of an estimated timeline for me:

• [2024-ish] Perimenopause Hits - I didn't want to take photos anymore, which made me less connected to my audience. I also just got so much more exhausted than I've ever been. At the same time my daughter was hitting her pre-teens. Can we say TOO MANY HORMONES!?

• [Late 2024] Creativity Tanks - This seems to have directly correlated with my exhaustion. I heard midlife was supposed to be like a rebirth but I felt like I needed to cocoon and there were no new ideas popping up in my new self-imposed isolation. And the biggest problem here is I stopped talking to YOU like I always have. I stopped being so open. I was trying to survive this stage of life and I really didn't know what to say about it. I did enjoy the "we do not care club" - though!

• [Mid 2025] AI Adoption Begins and Intuition Gets Put Aside - Around mid 2025 I'm fully adopting AI and start buying the tools. I held off on AI for a long time. Sure I used it around 2021 for my daughter's birthday party but other than that I wasn't relying on it for business. Then I started to use it more and more and I think it kept me running in idea circles that produced nothing but more ideas! I started to believe the AI more than I believed myself and my intuition. This was the WRONG path for me and I see it now. AI is a tool - not a mentor. ​

• [Early 2026] Confidence Falters - Can I do this anymore? Can I even sell online? Is AI about to take everything I've worked so hard to build? Will my husband even find a job? Will we have enough money? So this is where I start to think about getting a job.

• [May 2026] New ThriveCart Remote Job Gives Me LIFE - OMG I can't tell you how fun, exciting, creative and confidence giving the job at ThriveCart has been for me. All I can say is "never say never". I love working with the team, on the big projects and inside something bigger than I could create all on my own. Not to mention I now have an insider seat with the people making money online NOW, in 2027... with AI, economy and all of it.

• [September 2026] Confidence and Creativity is Coming Back - I can feel it! I've been thinking about my FreedomPreneurs membership for Q4 and I have had so many creative ideas on how to support my members as best as possible to grow THEIR lifestyle freedom! Business hasn't died because of AI. Courses are not dead. Blogging isn't dead. Everything lives. Teach changes fast but humans change VERY slow. And I'm leaning HARD into my humanity again. It feels so good to be back!

I got an email the other day from a customer who bought her first course online with me in 2010 on how to build websites. She was asking for my ThriveCart Kickstart course now and said after all these years she wants to now learn shopping carts from me.

She's not the only one still around after all these years.

I'm so honored to have customers for THAT long. 16 years and still buying from me? I need to remember my wins. You do, too!

And the truth is if you haven't had any wins, yet, then I can almost guarantee you haven't had many losses, either. We need to lose over and over and over again to get ourselves to the wins. That's something people don't talk about nearly enough.

So that's my heartfelt message for today. I hope there's something in there that you can relate to and that can inspire you. It's not just the practice. This is about LIFE. It all blends together and when life is lifeing business IS harder. Give yourself lots of grace.
